12 Days Old

Didn’t get any decent pix taken due to Jacob being crabby and gassy for some reason.   Please share your best tips for that in the comments section as I get so many new moms reading that it might help them as well.

So I thought I’d share his Nursery.     This was decorated by Lorraine at LKInteriors , a fabulous Children’s Room Decorator and Friend :)    Keep in mind that hubby thought we could just pull out a drawer in our room and he can sleep in there…now he has the nicest room in the house!    Lorraine was great to work with as she knew my style was clean with a hint of shabby chic (kinda like my photography I guess!)

Here is the “before”

June 29, 2008 - 1:16 pm Jodi - We couldn't have survived without gas drops at our house.

June 29, 2008 - 1:43 pm Debbie - Beautiful nursery. Sorry no help with the gas...my last had reflux which made him cry all the time. Try the football hold, that seems to work as it puts pressure on the tummy and also a warm hot water bottle (guess I did have some suggestions).

June 29, 2008 - 2:11 pm Tonia - Love your taste! What a fantastic room!!

June 29, 2008 - 8:23 pm Mari - No advice..sorry. Your nursery is GORGEOUS! LOVE the wayne's coating.

June 30, 2008 - 9:06 am Valerie - The nursery is so sweet, great job Lorraine! Love Love Love it all, from the dots to his sweet name hanging by bows....awesome job. As for Gas....I used to put Mylecon in their bottles..if you are bottle feeding make sure you have the kind that vent out the bubbles, like Avent or I can't remember the other brand....there is always the leg pushes, just lay him on your lap (on his back) and push is legs toward his chest to release the gas bubbles..... Good luck, that gas is painful for them and even worse on a Mommy.

June 30, 2008 - 11:12 am stacey moore - love the nursery!

July 2, 2008 - 5:42 am Mary - What a wonder space! WOW, that is beautiful Carrie!

July 2, 2008 - 7:58 pm patty - lying demi on her belly always worked for us or pulling her knees to her chest... plus the gas drops but I swore they were sugar water and they just made us feel better ... haha. Also give it a couple weeks ... his little digestive system is still developing and figuring everything out. Some people swear by dr browns bottles too, we used them for a bit but to clean them was a nightmare and the avent were great for her. Good luck...

July 8, 2008 - 6:59 am Lisa TheDomesticDiva - Carrie...His room came out PERFECT!!! Love it! With friendship, Lisa
