Gosh it really seems like just yesterday when this little guy was in.

Hard to believe they can go from fitting in a small basket to standing up like a big boy in such a short time!

Happy little guy came to see me this week with his sweet parents.  He was so happy!

I’m always amazed to see how much they grow in  a year and when they walk in and they don’t look at all like you would imagine but yet so adorable and happy!   We even got a few shots with his big brother and sister too!

I photographed his big sister as a baby,  how nice it was to see her after a few years with her new brother who is turning one year old!

perfection! that can be the only way to describe it. She did not wake the entire time (except when eating!) and we did the session in a record 1.5 hours. I was happy to get to play with some new props too!

**Newborn Modeling Promotion**

It isn’t often that I do any type of promotions but I couldn’t pass this up! When Magnolia Baby contacted me with this offer I knew my clients would just love it.   Book a newborn session from now until the end of the year and get a complimentary take home layette outfit!

The Details:

Magnolia Baby is looking for newborn models via EMAPhotography to show off their Fall 2010 layette line!  When a client books a deluxe session (see website for details) for their newborn session, Magnolia baby will provide each newborn with an adorable take home outfit to model and then they get to take the outfit home with them. How cool is that!   They will also be featured modeling their outfit on their website and possibly marketing materials and advertisments!   Since I have many newborn sessions booked from now until October, this offer is good for current bookings too (just contact me on how to change to the deluxe session). Sessions must be pre-booked (before the baby is born in order to ensure availability) and clients must sign a commercial modeling release. Gosh I was so excited to see her again, she was such a peanut when I saw her at her Newborn Session and now look at this chunk of love! And you can just feel the love between her and her parents which just makes it that much better to capture!

He was perfectly sleepy for us….well until we tried some belly shots and then he made us work for it which was just fine for me!

Most know how much I enjoy photographing newborns!   It has been fun to watch the rise of new moms eager to capture those first few weeks of life.  I can say that when I started I might have photographed 1 newborn a month… now I photograph anywhere between 15-20 newborns a month.   So it was wonderful to see this feature on newborn photography on “the today show” this past week, featuring a few fellow photographers out in Nebraska.     Take a peek at the inside look of a newborn photography session

That said I get many emails asking how to schedule a session when you don’t know the exact date the baby will arrive. Easy! What we do is “pre-book” your session so that I note the due date down in my calender. This helps me to not over schedule too many newborns due in the same time line. Once you deliver you would contact me and we would schedule the session the following week.
At this time I am pre-booking newborns for the summer/fall. April is filled, May and June are almost filled (all sessions other then newborns are booked from now until July). So if you are due this summer/fall please email asap to prebook your session! I have not been able to squeeze in last minute newborns that are born lately so the sooner you book the better!
