Traveled to Staten Island this weekend for this sweet 8 day old. What a perfect baby. She slept the whole time and didn’t wake up once to eat. She was even still sleeping by time I packed up! Parents were so nice too!

I photographed her big brother as a newborn so it was so nice to see this family again! Mom and Dad are both NJ State Troopers so of course we had to do shots with the trooper hat too!

perfection! that can be the only way to describe it. She did not wake the entire time (except when eating!) and we did the session in a record 1.5 hours. I was happy to get to play with some new props too!

Most know how much I enjoy photographing newborns!   It has been fun to watch the rise of new moms eager to capture those first few weeks of life.  I can say that when I started I might have photographed 1 newborn a month… now I photograph anywhere between 15-20 newborns a month.   So it was wonderful to see this feature on newborn photography on “the today show” this past week, featuring a few fellow photographers out in Nebraska.     Take a peek at the inside look of a newborn photography session

That said I get many emails asking how to schedule a session when you don’t know the exact date the baby will arrive. Easy! What we do is “pre-book” your session so that I note the due date down in my calender. This helps me to not over schedule too many newborns due in the same time line. Once you deliver you would contact me and we would schedule the session the following week.
At this time I am pre-booking newborns for the summer/fall. April is filled, May and June are almost filled (all sessions other then newborns are booked from now until July). So if you are due this summer/fall please email asap to prebook your session! I have not been able to squeeze in last minute newborns that are born lately so the sooner you book the better!

I couldn’t wait to meet this little guy.   His mom is the designer/owner of Magnolia Baby and is one of the best layette lines in the world!   So you know he will be one of the best dressed babies!     You might recognize his big sister as the famous “upside down” baby on my website (a shot that gets requested all the time!)

I am always so flattered when they travel so far,  took them almost 3 hours to get to me so I can begin to tell them how touched I was and hope I did their sweet baby justice!     Even after a very long car ride where she slept the whole time and being a bit on the “older” side for my normal newborn session,  she did great.. perfectly content and look at her amazing lashes!

Traveled to the City of New York to Central Park for this amazingly sweet newborn session.    And although we had a few feeding breaks once she was sleepy she just could melt your heart.   Even got to get her 2 and 4 year old brothers into some shots!

So glad I was able to squeeze them in as he was just perfect for us!

Got to travel to her home this week,  wouldn’t let all that snow stop our session!   She only woke up at the very end to let us know she was “all done”.

Was looking forward to meeting this little man… his big sister was apart of my Little Miracles Baby Plan when she was a baby and now I get to watch him go through his first year as well.    This recent snow storm sure brought out of a lot of newborns being born,  I have 4 more coming this week!
