Perfect is all I can say… session went so quickly and smoothly even when big sister arrived for the sibling shots.

How adorable is this viking hat that was made for him by a family member!   I love it when they bring in cute things we can use!

Twins can always be such a challange (one wants to sleep while the other wants to eat etc..)  but we managed to time things perfectly at one point and got them both nice and sleepy!

Gosh he was just so easy and sleepy and came from such a sweet family!

I always love seeing this family and always so flattered they drive so far to come see me!

As much as I like to talk,  it is always a bit intimidating when you are being interviewed because someone wants to write an article about you!    Jennifer made me feel at such ease though and I was so honored that she asked to interview me for Celebrity Parents!   Thanks Jennifer!

Ahh she was just perfect for us, I’ve had so many newborn boys lately so it was fun to go a bit girly!

Had such a must needed family vacation after such an amazingly busy 6 months (ok, who am I kidding.. more like 6 straight busy years.. I’m so blessed!) and it was a treat to come back to work with this little guy. Even at 3 weeks he gave us lots of sleepy time!

And now for my annual newborn slideshow of all the babies born this past year!    Don’t blink as you’ll miss some cute shots – Been quite a year at about 100 newborns photographed!    Looking forward to meeting all the 2011 babies too! Enjoy!

~Giving Is Awesome 2010~

This is my second year participating in the “Giving is Awesome”. Each year 100′s of photographers endeavour to give back through the way they do best by giving the gift of their time and talent to someone who might not be able to afford it. Photographing the winning families in the past touched my heart so much and I’m so grateful that I was able to give them a lifetime of memories. Without further ado, here we go…
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, fallen on hard times, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $2200 worth, to be exact. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $200 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must be local and willing to travel to my studio. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story : info@emaphotography.com no later then DECEMBER 22, 2010.  Please include a way to contact the nominee and yourself.

*Winning nominee will receive a session and a CD of high resolution images valued at $2200.

*Session must be scheduled by February 2011 and take place between February and April 2011.

*All nominations must be in by December 22nd and reviewed by a panel of my closest colleagues and friends.  The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
